Just a few hours ago, more than 200 people stood still in silent as police hovered around Istanbul's Taksim Square, the epicenter of the Turkish Spring riots. Local artist Samantha Zaza captured the "oddly calm and tense" scene and said via email that the new form of protest is catching on quickly across the country. Elsewhere in the world, sketchers drew the Louvre, tin-roof houses in the mountains of Caracas, sun-bathed architecture in Malaysia and Spain, a majestic snowcapped mountain in Seattle, and a music-inspired garden in Toronto. How's that to end the slideshow on a high note?
