Happy St. John's Day! To mark this holiday, people in Spain set up bonfires throughout the country the previous night. Artist Celia Burgos has that sketch to kick off today's slideshow. We also travel to Gabon, where I bet it feels like summer year round, with a sketch of a slum in Libreville, the capital of the country, by Jerome Garcia. Other timely scenes full of light come from England, Madrid, Chicago, Seattle, Quillan, Mykonos and MedellĂn. (Five cities in the world have that name. Guess which one Vicente Sardinha sketched and read the flickr caption to find out where the rest are.)
